Rushmore

The four people I swould select to be on Mt. Rushmore that we have studied are; Elvis Presley, John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, and finally James Dean.

Elvis Presley deserves to be on the Mt. Rushmore because of his influence and his contributes to the culture in the 50's. Elvis wrote many songs that are still popular around the world. He is thought to be one of the best musicians ever and the most influential during that time period. He helped shape America to what it is today.

John F. Kennedy deserves a spot on Mt. Rushmore because he was a great president. Doing what many presidents are failing to do in today’s time he easily accomplished, which is stimulating the economy. All of his foreign policies worked, and became helpful in settling the cold war, sought to be one of the most threatening wars to today’s time if happened. JFK should be recognized for his hard work and great effort in office.

Marilyn Monroe deserves the third spot on the wall. She was one of the most significant women of the 50's that helped change our culture. She silently spoke out with her actions of how women should be allowed to act. She was the beautiful women that helped change our culture in movies, but also in everyday life.

The final spot goes to the unsung hero which is James Dean. He is the unsung hero because he changed Americans view and lives and has contributed to the growth of our culture. If there was a father of conformity, it would have to be James Dean. James Dean is what American life is based off of.

Research Option 2

I picked the "easiest shot" from the movie. This is the question how come Oswald never took the easy shot from the building and killed the president on Houston Street. There are multiple reasons for Oswald's actions some of which I can explain. The main reason is that on Elm Street is was a better spot for three shooters to shoot at the president, but then it would be implying that it was a conspiracy. Another reason behind it was the it was a more "dangerous" shot to take because secret service would have seen him. Therefore to hide his shot better he did it when all security was focusing the other way. The final reason is that it was a set up by the government. Reasons that show this is the secret service agent driving the limousine was braking the entire time the car was under fire till Kennedy was fatally wounded. The agent was supposed to speed away if the car was under fire, and the other agent was supposed to protect Kennedy while he was getting shot at. Since neither of these agents did their jobs right the suspicion leads to the involvement of the government.

Blog Option 1

2. Dale Myers offers very conclusive evidence. To start Dale show how the men were seated in the limousine. The way Governor Conoley was facing and the way his body lined up was exact with the bullet path. Also myers can isolate the source of the shot that made these wounds. The way he does this is he takes a straight line and follows it. Coincidentally the line leads to the sixth floor window where Oswald fired his rifle. The last piece of evidence is when the two men react at the same time when the bullet is shot. That is the determining factor that it is a fact.

3. Yes I do agree with Myers. He has created the computer program that lets us identify the exact position the men were sitting in. When dale lined up the wound marks I was convinced there was one bullet the hit JFK and Governor Conoley.
